Richard's most widely read non-fiction is the 'Dear Friends' letters, published in the Prince George Citizen between 2006 and 2007. They tell the story of an ordinary British family emigrating to the northern interior of British Columbia, and were a popular regular feature in the paper during the family's first year in their new home.
